Membership Perks that Work

With more than 6,000 members and nearly 60 chapters throughout the country, SMPS provides the knowledge, network, and tools to gain a competitive advantage for your firm in the A/E/C industry. Locally, the Charlotte Chapter has established itself as a trusted resource in the area with over 50 firms represented.

The benefits that accompany an individual membership are beyond comparison and range from discounted tickets to premier networking and educational events, to eligibility for special award programs that highlight the success of you and your firm. With so many benefits, it is important that you know and are able to advantage of as many of them as possible. Each month we will highlight a different “perk” to help you make the most of your membership.

August 2020: New Member Challenge

Within the first six months of membership, SMPS challenges you to make the most of your membership by completing six fun tasks. It comes with a scorecard for tracking progress and tips for success. The challenge introduces you to the many benefits of a membership with SMPS. Take advantage of great educational programming, grow your personal network, and become an active member of SMPS Charlotte. Complete the scorecard and follow the instructions for submitting to receive a $50 gift card in the mail. This gift card is for YOU, not your employer.

“I joined SMPS June 2017 and completed the New Member Challenge. The Challenge was a great way to incentivize attending SMPS events—I immediately joined a committee, signed up for a few events, and handed out my business card to everyone I met. It was so great to connect with others within the industry as not many people know what we do! I’d recommend the New Member Challenge to anyone—I have been able to get advice from those more seasoned than me, recommend firms we should partner with, and take on an additional role I’m not able to in my day-to-day job.”
