Tech/Disrupt: Is Charlotte Analog in a Digital World?

    March 01, 2018
    11:30 AM to 1:00 PM
     Add to Calendar

    Dressler's Restaurant at The Metropolitan
    1100 Metropolitan Avenue #125
    Charlotte, NC 28204

In light of recent tech sector developments such as Google Fiber, the nearby Data Center boom, and the announcement of that excluded Charlotte from the list of candidates for HQ2, we have gathered a group of experts to share viewpoints from design, business development, and tech infrastructure, as they relate to what Charlotte has to offer technology companies - and where it falls short as compared to other urban markets in the United States.  We'll discuss human capital and talent, regional infrastructure and buildings/facilities as they play a role in both attracting companies/talent and making use of and driving the development of critical high-tech infrastructure.  Our conversation will be focused on answering the macro questions of, "What does Charlotte have that fits with the rapidly changing world of tech sector-based companies, and what do we need to change to attract more businesses and projects of that type moving forward...?"

Moderator: Jocelyn Yard, Vice President, PQS Mission Critical
