2021 Virtual New Year Social: Making “History”

January 14, 2021
5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Zoom Meeting
Treat yourself to a virtual New Year social with SMPS Charlotte! This year, we’re treating the holidays a little different and want to celebrate 2021! Join us for an Airbnb Virtual Experience: True vs. False Funny Historical Game. We’ve reserved a private event with hosts Frank and Nikos to take us on a wild, interactive, historical experience. Our hosts will bring lots of fun, witty jokes, and smiles—and a few lies—to this event. Here’s what you’ll need to bring:
- Paper + pen
- Your brain (personal lie detector)
- A beverage of choice
- A stable internet connection and a device with functioning audio and video
Viewer discretion is advised! If you’re at home with some younger ears around, we recommend you use headphones.
Can you separate the true stories from the false? We’ll be there with you to decide! Spots are limited, so be sure to register before it’s too late!
If you have any questions, please contact Adam Shadrick at [email protected]

Getting the Most out of Networking
SMPS events can be great ways to expand your network and advance your career. Here are some tips for getting the most out of SMPS events:
- Set a personal goal prior to each event.
- Introduce yourself and ask questions about others.
- Look to recent news items or events for topics of conversation.
- Sit with someone you don’t know.
- Schedule follow-up conversations with those you meet.
Remember, networking is just as much about giving leads and being a resource as it is about reaping benefits yourself; helping others will help you!
